The 1930 ALF Quad has been brought in for restoration. Here are a few facts until the final history is drafted!!!
Purchased by TFD 1930
Ran as Truck 2-2
Was at the 1934 Congress Hotel Fire
Never Left Tucson
Was once used to haul the band by Beaver’s Band Box
Has sat for the last 10-12 yrs in the yard at the original Sta 2 on 4th Ave. – now a private residence
BTW….. A quad is a truck that has a pump, water tank, hose bed, and large accompaniment of ground ladders (typically found on Ladder Trucks). This is basically a pumper and ladder combination, but without an aerial ladder.
Restoration will begin early 2022.
