Retired Operations Chief James Russell was instrumental in initiating the restorations of the 1910 Knott Steamer and the 1928 Ahrens Fox. Jim was a member of the original "Rusty Bucket" Fire Brigade and a founding member of the "Old Pueblo Vintage Fire Brigade". (both local chapters of SPAAMFAA). Jim was also a founding board member of the Last Alarm Foundation (Funeral Fire Engine). Jim had a long love of antique fire apparatus and wouldn't rest until the Ahrens Fox was complete.
